The Story Behind
The competition format will be the same as in 2019, when over 1,400 stunning mountain images were submitted before thousands voted online to help our judges pick the winners. Last year, first place went to Ray Smith for his dreamy image of Buachaille Etive Mor.
The rules for 2020 are simple – your photo must be taken in the UK mountains and it doesn’t matter what type of camera it’s taken on. It can be a flashy DSLR or a battered old smartphone, because all we care about is the picture you come back with and the feelings it creates. If you don’t have the perfect image yet, you have until the 18th October to submit your entry, so there’s plenty of time to get out there and snap it.
